1939年1月至1941年6月，聚居在甘肃省海原县、固原市两县（今属西吉县、海原、固原三县）的回族农民，为反抗国民党政府的残暴统治，寻求民族解放的道路，接连举行了三次大规模的武装起义，史称“海固农民暴动”。
